
Franklin & Marshall is a prestigious 4-year private co-education college located in Lancaster, Pensylvania. Their Division III women’s lacrosse team boasts 11 conference and two NCAA championships, one in 2007 and one in 2009. They started this year ranked #8 in the IWCLA poll and now after seven straight wins they look to keep their undefeated season and No. 1 ranking against one of the toughest teams in women’s college lacrosse, the Salisbury Seagulls.

By now, every lacrosse player and parent should be aware of the NHFS pocket rule changes that will be implemented in the 2016 season. The main change is that all shooting strings must be within four inches from the top of the lacrosse head as well as pass a 90-degree stick check. A 90-degree stick check you have seen when a referee holds a players stick upside down to see if the ball rolls out freely. This means you must have straight shooting strings no more than four inches measured from the top of your lacrosse stick only arced with the top of the head. All players will need to conform to these revisions after this season and quite frankly should do so immediately this pre-season if possible.

The 2015 National Lacrosse Convention in Baltimore will be the 15th year we have attended the convention. 2001 was the first year we attended with just 5 traditional lacrosse pockets as our initial product offering. It was a time when the convention was in hotel ballrooms instead of massive convention halls. The industry has grown by leaps and bounds since then into the mainstream sports eye. This is a time every year where manufacturers show off their new products and industry professionals catch up on potential new marketing initiatives.
